This event is perfect for the busy, stressed, creative professional or student, in need of guided relaxation and gentle practice to re-energize, restore and promote their healing and wellbeing.
What is Restorative Yoga? Restorative entails laying in simple relaxing supported positions, customized for your comfort. By ensuring your adequate support in each of these positions, your body is better able to fully release held muscles and thereby truly relax. Additionally this class will teach you takeaway techniques (using breathwork and meditation) for stimulating relaxation response when you observe your own anxiety rising.
What to bring, wear, and expect? Dress comfortably in socks and comfy cozy layers that allow movement. Bring your yoga mat, and any props you would like to incorporate in your own practice; yoga blocks, blanket, bolsters or pillows, eye pillows. If you bring it, I will help you incorporate it ;-) Expect some grounding breath and asana for a warm up and mostly simple relaxing supported positions, customized for your comfort while I offer prop assistance and spoken guided meditation.
